She began her career at Surrey Memorial Hospital as the Head Consultation Liaison (CL) and Psychiatry. Her focus was on building a thriving highly collaborative CL service that provides the psychiatric treatment needed by patients in the medical and surgical units, including the Palliative and Oncology Units. She was also awarded an Facilities Engagement grant to develop guidelines on how to manage vulnerable patients at the hospital.
She is also the Provincial Practice Director for Psychiatry within BC Cancer, Clinical Associate professor at UBC, and the Past-President BC Psychiatric Association. She is an assistant professor at Tufts University School of Medicine in the Department of Psychiatry and adjunct faculty in the UM PM&R & Family Medicine residency programs. She has a longstanding interest in musculoskeletal education and research. She teaches Neuromuscular Medicine and Musculoskeletal Medicine to the Family Medicine Residents. She is also involved in ongoing research projects on the musculoskeletal education, electrodiagnostic medical, and performing arts-medicine.
Dr. Pulkit Sing completed her medical degree at the University of New South Wales before finishing her Psychiatry Residency at the University of British Columbia. Dr Theresa Lo is a graduate of the University of British Columbia, where she completed her medical school and residency in psychiatry.
